Role

Lead Graphic Designer

Zohran for State Assembly was a grassroots, progressive campaign tasked with building momentum for election day. Using (and building on) a developed brand guide and elements, I designed graphics for the Zohran campaign featuring data visualization, fundraising efforts, multilingual shareables, and editorial content that performed highly in engagement. In our final push, I designed more than 145 multiplatform social graphics that performed highly in engagement. Oh, and we won.

Data Visualization

This was the highest performing static image post on the Zohran for State Senate Instagram of all time, reaching a wide audience though Instagram Story sharing, while building brand awareness with the presence of the logo.

Editorial Content

The following are assorted, individual highlights of daily topical Instagram carousels — I invite you to see the cohesive works on Zohran Kwame Mamdani's Instagram.

Although guidelines for multi-platform editorial content were not in the existing design documents, I created guidelines and actionable templates for the campaign to keep content consistent, appealing, and engaging.

For our campaign wrap-up, we needed a design that would feel like the crescendo of months of great work. In contrast to the 'explainer' approach of our editorial content, I felt it needed to be conversational. This series built off of the style guide expansion, using visual elements and typography that distilled the emotion that powered this campaign.

WhatsApp Shareables

The Zohran campaign prided itself on reaching out to historically ignored minority communities in Astoria, and part of our strategy was shareable and forwardable native language content on prevalent messaging platforms. With the help of our campaign translators, I designed these 'get out the vote' graphics and more.
